Peace Arch State Park -
The Park straddles the U.S./Canada
border, allowing visitors
the experience of strolling to and
fro between countries amid flower gardens,
ponds and the International Sculpture

Blaine Marine Park - provides a walking
trail along Semiahmoo Bay overlooking
White Rock, British Columbia. The park
provides picnic shelters for family gatherings.

Blaine Public Pier - End of Marine Drive in Blaine Marine Park
Operated by the Port of Bellingham, the pier offers exceptional access to views of Semiahmoo Resort and Spit, Mt Baker, and local waterways. Short-term parking is available on the pier. Fishing, crabbing and bird watching are popular activities. Benches, tables and shelters offer places to sit and relax. Crabbing is seasonal and does require a crabbing license. This facility houses the Senior Center and the Boys and Girls Club. Space is available for rent for meetings and events. Bird Watching - Blaine
and the Birch Bay area are a Important
Birding Area (IBA)
of Washington State, and is the Northern
Anchor of the
Great Washington State Birding Trail/Cascade
Loop. The protected embankments of the
area extending from Birch Bay on the
south to Semiahmoo Bay on the north is
an integral part of the premier loop
of the Great Washington State Birding
Trail. The number of birds
and species that use
these inland waters can be spectacular
and even incomprehensible throughout
the winter, peaking in the early spring,

Hiking & Walking -
Blaine has several parks for the outdoor
adventurer. If you want you can take
a "Walking Tour of Blaine's Historic
Homes". This self-guided tour highlights
Blaine's early history in homes, buildings
and churches. The booklet walks you through
over 50 historic places that are circa
1856 to 1929.

Ride the Historic Plover Ferry from
Blaine Harbor to Semiahmoo Resort (Seasonal).
By Donation ~ Round Trip $5.00 Adults $1.00 Children.

The Plover is the oldest foot passenger ferry in the State and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Throughout the summer, the Plover operates during on the following days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 4th of July, weekday holidays, as well as for special charters.
The Ferry operates during the summer months, beginning on Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, including the 4th of July.
The vessel is Coast Guard rated to carry 17 passengers, but bicyclists, strollers, and even well-behaved dogs may also come aboard when there is room. The two-person crew provides interesting commentary on the Plover’s restoration and the many diverse sights along the short crossing. Sights which may include British Columbia's Coast Mountains, basking seals, soaring eagles, stalking herons, and maybe even a shipwreck. The Plover also provides a pleasant shortcut for cyclists pedaling the coast. The Plover also makes a great water taxi from Blaine to a midday meal at the Semiahmoo resort.
