Settlemyer Hall, BTC’s Campus Center Building
Join BTC’s SHIFT, ANEW, and NAWIC for the first annual Northwest Washington Council of Tradeswomen Equity Summit. This is your chance to listen and share best practices on recruiting, retaining, and supporting women and LGBTQ individuals in non-traditional occupations.
Those working in the construction trades, engineering, advanced manufacturing, automotive, aquaculture, refinery, and vocational education occupations are encouraged to attend to hear from guest speakers, join in table discussions and network with women in their field and beyond.
The event will include a showing of the short film, “Sista in the Brotherhood,” featuring a tradeswoman of color who faces discrimination on a new job site and must choose between making a stand or keeping her job.
Dinner will be provided.
